Composite/White fillings

Composite resin restorations are a tooth coloured filling material with multiple purposes. They can be used to restore or fill teeth that have been decayed, replace amalgam or silver fillings, and reshape malformed teeth and to improve the cosmetic appearance of your teeth.

Bonding methods in dentistry have significantly improved over the years and these types of white fillings are very successful.

They work well in back teeth to help seal the teeth from further decay, are strong and we will ensure they blend into your mouth so your teeth look very natural i.e. people won’t even know you have fillings in your teeth.

Typically, these types of fillings are placed in one appointment that lasts from half an hour to an hour. They can also be used to repair teeth when a small part of the tooth has been chipped or broken off as they are very conservative and don’t require removal of a lot of tooth structure, which supports the practice of minimal intervention dentistry.
